Elevated Liquid Containing Structure of 5000m3

Bouake, Ivory Coast - 2021

Project Description

50m height elevated conical water tanks, capacity 5000m3, with a top diameter of 40m

Structure Description

Reinforced concrete thick raft supporting a cylindrical wall on which a conical reinforced concrete tank diameter 40m is constructed. The structure is partially prestressed and precast. The sequence of construction is a major constraint for the structure. The tank is poured on ground and lifted up using steel tendons then prestressed and locked to the stem walls. The tank is covered with a precast dome that is constructed and lifted to place using mobile cranes. The upper dome is of a 40m diameter and laid on a ring beam confining the conical tank walls.

Scope Includes the complete design of the entire structure and the preparation of the related execution drawings and bar bending schedule.
