Zik Mausoleum

The Zik Mausoleum Onitsha, where Nigeria first president was buried in Anambra State.

The mausoleum is square shaped with a length of 21 m on each side and an approximate height of 6 m above ground. It consists of an existing reinforced concrete structure with an upper steel structure. The height above mean ground level of the structure is approximate 33m.

The steel and the concrete structural design of the Mausoleum was made according to the bristish standard codes. Our scope was to define, describe and justify the structural global solution and the design of the main elements.

The results of the prepared ,athematical 3D models were used for the design and justification of all structural members. Our scope included the preparation of the structural shop drawing for concrete and steel members with their joints.
