Project Description

Mosul International Airport will serve the whole Nineveh Governorate concerning air transport’s needs. Rehabilitation of Mosul International Airport has to be done at the earliest in order to ensure economic activity of the region. It has to be developed in order to ensure safe, efficient and durable operations, and to attract customers.

Mosul International Airport project will comprise the rehabilitation, addition, and/or extension of almost all technical building facilities including the cargo and passenger terminals, firefighting and rescue block, air traffic and control tower, crisis management center, Gates, offices, tanks…

Structure Description

Engineering services for the modeling and preliminary design of all the above listed included structures. Traditional reinforced concrete and light weight steel and composite structures make part of the scope.

Role and Responsibilities

• A preliminary phase modeling and design of all above mentioned structures.
• Coordination, management and leading a design team.
• QA/QC activities.
• Preparing value engineered preliminary requirements, structural plans and bill of quantities.
• Ensuring the technical controller approvals.
